Dhaka links Rahman visit to Hasina extradition request

Bangladesh's foreign ministry said on 16 August that a propitious environment was needed before Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visits India. Spokesperson AKM Shahidul Karim asked New Delhi to act on requests to extradite Sheikh Hasina and those accused in the killing of Sharif Osman Hadi. Officials of both countries had discussed a visit for several weeks.
