Supreme Court closes IPS officer plea on postpartum training

The Supreme Court on July 10 disposed of IPS officer Urvashi Sengar's petition challenging a Union Home Ministry policy requiring new mothers to take a year's postpartum break from training, The Hindu reported. A bench headed by Justice Manoj Misra directed her to pursue her pending case in the Central Administrative Tribunal without prejudice from Delhi High Court orders.
