Polio survivor Jhandu Kumar won bronze in men's heavyweight para powerlifting at the Commonwealth Games twenty twenty-six in Glasgow, India's first medal of the Games. He sold potatoes and vegetables on pavements, drove an e-rickshaw, then sold it to fund twenty twenty-three nationals. He trained at SAI Gandhinagar under Rajinder Singh Rahelu, inspired partly by Salman Khan's physique goals.
