Railways clears Rs 736 crore safety works in 4 states

Indian Railways approved projects worth Rs 736 crore in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat. The package covers Kavach train protection, electronic interlocking, electric traction upgrades and a road over bridge. Uttar Pradesh received Rs 252 crore for Kavach 4.0 across 607.7 route kilometres in Lucknow Division. Maharashtra got Rs 209 crore for interlocking at seven Solapur Division stations.
