Ayodhya Bar Association fines lawyers five lakh rupees for defending Ram Mandir theft accused

The Hindu reported June 29 the Ayodhya Bar Association refused to represent eight accused in the Ram Mandir donation embezzlement case. President Kalika Prasad Mishra warned any lawyer defending them would face a five lakh rupee fine. Advocates also demanded former trust general secretary Champat Rai and two trustees leave Ayodhya within three days or face city blockades.
