BEML wins Rs 5,400 crore bullet train order

BEML has secured a Rs 5,400 crore-plus order from NHSRCL to supply and maintain high-speed rolling stock for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. The defence PSU is building India's first B28 trainset at its Aditya High-Speed Rail Complex in Bengaluru. The Railways aims to operate the B28 on the 97-km Surat-Vapi stretch by August 2027.
