Andreessen Horowitz backs 2-year academy to rival college

Andreessen Horowitz is launching the Horowitz Andreessen Academy, a two-year private school aimed at replacing college for some students. CEO Gagan Biyani said applications are open for a tuition-free pilot of 50 students starting September 2027. The venture raised $42 million from investors including Shopify chief Tobi Lutke. Lectures are promised from Jensen Huang and Satya Nadella.
