Tarun Tejpal surrenders to serve 10-year term

Former Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal surrendered at the Mapusa court on September 14 to begin a 10-year rigorous imprisonment sentence. He was sent to Colvale Central Jail in North Goa. The Supreme Court on August 25 ordered him to surrender within three weeks after the Bombay High Court convicted him on August 6. His appeal is listed for September 22.
