Omar Artan cut from World Cup after entry denial

Somali referee Omar Artan was denied entry to the United States after arriving in Miami and was later ruled out of the FIFA World Cup by FIFA. US Customs and Border Protection cited vetting concerns without giving details. Artan had received a visa through Somalia's embassy in Kenya the week before travelling.
