9 Thoothukudi Class VIII boys held under POCSO

Nine Class VIII students at a Thoothukudi government school were arrested under the POCSO Act. Police said five were held on September 1 and four on September 2 after parents complained at Vilathikulam police station. Officers said the boys had allegedly harassed a Class VIII schoolmate since Class VII. All nine went before the Juvenile Justice Board in Tirunelveli.
