HD Hyundai team visits Thoothukudi over shipyard plan

A high-level HD Hyundai delegation is in Thoothukudi for talks on a proposed shipbuilding facility. Meetings with V.O. Chidambaranar Port and Tamil Nadu officials ran Wednesday and Thursday, businessline reported. The cluster is planned over 2,050 acres with a 2.4 km waterfront. Sources earlier put possible investment around $2 billion; the company has not disclosed a figure.
