US President Donald Trump on Sunday suggested renaming New Mexico as New America in a social media post. Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham said the name is not up for debate and has been the state's since before the United States existed. The idea follows his Lake Ontario rename as Lake America. Some US media called it an internet hoax.
