Kabini releases 13,600 cusecs amid Mandya protests

Kabini released 13,600 cusecs again while inflow was about 7,747 cusecs. The level stood at 2,280.02 ft against a 2,284 ft maximum. Officials said the release served downstream needs, including Tamil Nadu. An MLA said KRS water was only for drinking. Mandya has seen protests after the Supreme Court asked Karnataka to follow CWMA directions.
