Tamil Nadu CM unveils Rs 1,200 crore complex

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on September 3, 2026 announced a new Assembly-cum-Secretariat complex in Chennai for Rs 1,200 crore. It will house all State departments on about 20 lakh sq. ft. He said the government will leave Fort St. George. Under Rule 110 he also announced Olympic and Motor Sports cities in Chennai.
