Uttarakhand forest academy offers students 15 days free stay

The Haldwani-based Uttarakhand Forest Training Academy has started free hostel stays for students from government-run institutions to promote ecological study. The experimental facility is capped at 15 days. Director Sanjiv Chaturvedi said the move followed a request from horticulture and forestry undergraduates charged the same hostel rate as state officials. Approval came on September 16.
