Vance suspends Microsoft PERM after 6,000 US layoffs claim
The Indian Express··3d ago
Vice-President JD Vance said Microsoft is suspended from the PERM programme used for many employment-based green cards. He said the firm fired 6,000 US workers last year while obtaining 6,300 H-1B visas and almost 3,000 green cards. Hours later, President Donald Trump awarded Satya Nadella the National Medal of Technology and Innovation. Microsoft said most H-1B filings extended existing staff.
