The Samajwadi Party plans to introduce a blue dress code for its student wing ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Party president Akhilesh Yadav is expected to announce the move on Tuesday. The change gives youth organisations distinct identities under the party's PDA plank. BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi called it an attempt to reach Dalit voters.
