DAC clears Rs 52000 crore defence boost for three services

Defence Acquisition Council on July 3, 2026, accorded Acceptance of Necessity to proposals worth nearly Rs 52,000 crore for the Army, Navy and Air Force. Army items include Akash Tarang anti-UAV systems, MPATGM, MRSAM, V-SHORADS, tank active protection and jet-based kamikaze drones. Navy cleared multi influence ground mines and shipborne UAVs. Air Force received fixed-wing high altitude pseudo satellite clearance.
