Odisha evacuates 2.37 lakh as northern rivers overflow

Odisha has evacuated 237000 people to 293 relief camps after rain flooded northern districts. Chief Secretary Anu Garg said 515000 people in 947 villages across 49 blocks were affected. The Baitarani, Brahmani, Salandi and Budhabalanga were overflowing. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said he would visit Bhadrak and Jajpur on 17 August. IMD issued a red warning through 18 August.
