Mumbai lakes hold about 15 percent storage

Mumbai's seven drinking-water lakes currently hold about 15 percent of total storage capacity, NDTV reported citing BMC data. Existing reserves can sustain the city for around one-and-a-half months if major inflows do not arrive. A 10 percent water cut has been in effect since May 15 as a precautionary measure before heavier monsoon inflows arrive.
