Allahabad HC disposes PIL on Khamenei portrait removals

The Allahabad High Court Lucknow Bench on Tuesday refused to entertain a PIL challenging alleged arbitrary removal of portraits of Iranian leaders by Uttar Pradesh Police, LiveLaw reported. Majlis Ulema-E-Hind through General Secretary Maulana Syed Kalbe Jawad Naqvi sought to restrain police from interfering with displays of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Ayatollah Ali Al-Sistani portraits.
