T-Mobile and Jio launch world's first 5G SA roaming link

T-Mobile and Reliance Jio launched what they called the world's first 5G Standalone roaming link Monday through Syniverse interoperability. Jio users can roam on T-Mobile's 5G SA network in the United States and T-Mobile customers on Jio's network in India. Ankur Kapoor said T-Mobile began building standalone 5G cores in 2020 for seamless cross-border streaming and business apps.
