Karan Johar sets RN Kao biopic for 11 August 2028

Karan Johar's Dharma Productions will release a biopic on R&AW founder Rameshwar Nath Kao in theatres on 11 August 2028. The film adapts Nitin Gokhale's book R.N. Kao: Gentleman Spymaster and was first announced in January 2020. Dharma is teaming with Leo Media Collective. The September 21, 2026 announcement marked 58 years since R&AW was founded.
