Nepal flood death toll rises to 1,453

Fresh rain since Thursday has driven floods and landslips across Nepal, which counts at least 1,453 dead and more than 5,000 missing. NDRRMA said 1,451 bodies were recovered by Saturday and 13,795 people rescued. In Butwal, the Tinau swept away six houses and about 1,000 people were evacuated. The Narayani at Devghat hit 9.23 metres, above its 9-metre danger level.
