Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 18 hailed Skyroot Aerospace's planned Vikram-1 maiden orbital launch at 11.30 am from Sriharikota as a historic new frontier for India's space journey. The four-stage rocket is India's first privately developed orbital launch vehicle. Modi posted on X urging Indians to follow the mission. Former ISRO chief S Somanath also congratulated the team.
