Ayodhya SIT investigators estimate Rs 6 to 8 lakh may have been siphoned daily from Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust donations, NDTV reported on July 4, 2026. Bank staff said daily donations averaged Rs 16 to 18 lakh before the theft surfaced. Eight accused including retired SBI employee Subhash Srivastava have been arrested since the case emerged in February.
