Gary Oldman backs Jack Lowden for next James Bond

Gary Oldman said at the Toronto International Film Festival that he hopes Slow Horses co-star Jack Lowden becomes James Bond. He said he has no inside casting news. Oldman said producers may have chosen among six candidates but have not announced the actor. Lowden is 36 and Scottish, which Oldman said could nod to Sean Connery.
