At Swaraj, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of your account directly from the Swaraj app. If you cannot access your account or prefer email support, you can also request deletion by emailing support@swarajapp.com.
How to Delete Your Account in the App
- Sign in to Swaraj.
- Open Settings.
- Go to Advanced Settings.
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm the action.
After confirmation, your account is scheduled for permanent deletion.
How to Request Account Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app or would prefer to request deletion by email, send an email to support@swarajapp.com.
Subject line: "Request for Account Deletion - Swaraj"
In your email, please include:
- Your registered email address used to sign in.
- Optional: the reason for deletion.
This helps us verify ownership before proceeding with deletion.
30-Day Restore Window
For in-app deletion requests, you can sign in again for 30 days and choose Keep My Account to restore your account. If you do not restore your account within 30 days, your account and associated data will be permanently deleted.
What Data Will Be Deleted
Once your request is verified and processed, the following data will be permanently deleted:
- Your Swaraj user account
- Google Sign-In authentication record
- Profile information
- Any user-generated content linked to your account
- Any personally identifiable information stored in our systems
After deletion, this data cannot be recovered.
Deletion Timeframe
Your account and data will be deleted within 7 working days after successful verification for manual email requests. For in-app deletion, the 30-day restore window applies before permanent deletion.
You will receive a confirmation email once a manual deletion request is complete.
What Data May Be Retained
In some cases, minimal data may be retained only if required by law, such as:
- Legal compliance
- Fraud prevention
- Security and audit purposes
This retained data is never used for marketing or profiling.
