The Hindu··2d ago
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams says hill water reserves may last about 90 days. It has tightened supply to hotels, shops, private religious institutions and choultries. The town uses nearly 60 lakh gallons a day. About 30 lakh gallons come from Kalyani Dam and 15 lakh gallons each from Papavinasanam and Gogarbham. Three other local reservoirs have already run dry.
